I perhaps should have expanded a little...I guess to my ears your music is a good blend
of jazz and popular (for want of a better word)..it reminds me a little of the direction of Steely Dan
who blended elements from both....

-Your music is always easy to listen to-
from the seductively flowing "A Secret", to beautifully skill-woven instrumentals in "Keep Going" -
"Open Doors" has interesting analogies ("Skies of liquid red") ..easy moving lyrics and rhythm.
"Please Step This way" has lovely movements too!

Mel,
Yesterday, I listened to your latest CD (Three Steps Away) twice. This is great stuff ! I think this is by far the best you have ever done. The songs are better. The quality of the recording is better. The sax is excellent on that first song ( A secret ). I love the song Open Doors. It's very catchy. You should be proud of yourself. I can tell a big improvement already. I'm 100 % serious.
Wonderful job, buddy ! If this helps you know that I'm serious, I think I'm going to listen to this from time to time regularly at work. Just a pleasent CD to pop in while you work.
